Main Workflows

Create a Case with AI Recommendation

  1. From the Lean dashboard, click New Case
  2. Describe the problem or objective
  3. The AI methodology recommender analyses your description and suggests the most suitable tool (PDCA, 8D, QRQC, etc.)
  4. Confirm the recommendation or choose manually
  5. The case is created with the selected methodology template
AI Recommendation

The AI bases its recommendation on the nature of the problem (quality, safety, process, strategy) and its complexity. You can always change the methodology after creation.

PDCA — 4-Phase Cycle

Route: /dashboard/lean/pdca

Each PDCA case follows 4 sequential phases:

PhaseActions
PlanDefine the problem, analyse root causes, plan actions
DoExecute corrective actions, document changes
CheckMeasure results, compare against objectives
ActStandardise improvements, capture learnings

Each phase requires validation before moving to the next.

Kanban — Visual Boards

Route: /dashboard/lean/kanban

  • Customisable columns (To do, In progress, Done, etc.)
  • Drag-and-drop cards between columns
  • Configurable WIP (Work In Progress) limits per column
  • Filters by owner, priority, due date

BSC — Balanced Scorecard

Route: /dashboard/lean/bsc

Strategic steering across Kaplan & Norton's 4 perspectives:

PerspectiveExample indicators
FinancialRevenue, margin, ROI
CustomerSatisfaction, retention, market share
Internal processesYield, defect rate, lead times
LearningTraining, innovation, capabilities

The radar chart provides a synthetic view of balance across the 4 axes.

SPC — Statistical Process Control Charts

Route: /dashboard/lean/spc

Real-time statistical process monitoring:

  • X-bar and R charts: mean and range
  • Control limits: UCL, LCL, centreline calculated automatically
  • Nelson rule detection: 8 violation rules identified automatically (trends, out-of-control points, oscillations, etc.)
  • Visual alerts when a process drifts

5S — Pillar Audits

Route: /dashboard/lean/5s

Structured audit of the 5 pillars scored per area:

PillarMeaningScore
SeiriSort0-5
SeitonSet in order0-5
SeisoShine0-5
SeiketsuStandardise0-5
ShitsukeSustain0-5

Total score out of 25, with history to track progress.

Gemba Walk — Field Observations

Route: /dashboard/lean/gemba

  • Record observations directly in the field
  • Offline mode: observations sync automatically when back online
  • Categories: safety, quality, productivity, environment
  • Photos and comments attached to each observation
  • Corrective action tracking from observations

Integration

Lean data is connected to other modules: BSC indicators can draw from financial, HR and production KPIs. Gemba observations can generate maintenance orders (CMMS) or corrective actions (PDCA).
